Education

In 2009, John R. Kristofferson received his B.A in History from Pepperdine University Seaver College.
In 2014, Mr. Kristofferson graduated from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. During this time, he interned with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Victim Impact Program in Compton, California, as well as the Pepperdine Global Justice Program in Kampala, Uganda.
In 2023, Mr. Kristofferson received his LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.

Background

Mr. Kristofferson joined EXTTI after almost four years as a labor attorney with Adams, Ferrone, and Ferrone, APC, where he represented public employee labor union membership in internal investigations and disciplinary action appeals. Additionally, Mr. Kristofferson has served as the sole Pre-Disciplinary Hearings Officer for the State of Hawaii Department of Public Safety, reviewing and directing investigations of alleged policy violations throughout the various correctional facilities throughout the state, and providing the employee with the opportunity to hold an impartial pre-disciplinary hearing prior to imposing disciplinary action.
Mr. Kristofferson then served as the Chief Labor Negotiator for the Florida Police Benevolent Association, Northwest Chapter as well as labor attorney and field operations representative for the members. While in Pensacola, Florida, Mr. Kristofferson became certified as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Florida Supreme Court Trained Arbitrator.
Having sat on both the side of the employee and management in investigations, negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, Mr. Kristofferson brings a thorough and impartial perspective to investigations.
